Menurut laporan yang diterbitkan Lembaga Penelitian Media Timur Tengah (The Middle East Media Research Institute/MEMRI), salah satu situs Islam menuduh Apple telah menghina umat muslim. Pasalnya, pintu masuk toko Apple yang terletak di Fifth Avenue New York ditengarai mirip dengan Ka’bah yang ada di Masjid al-Haram Mekah.
